Nir Shaviv is interested in a range of problems in astrophysics and climate research. While at the institute he plans to concentrate on cosmic ray diffusion in the dynamic galaxy, on the solar cosmic–ray climate link, and on the appearance of extremely luminous (super-Eddington) states in stellar evolution.
