Activate IMAP and SMTPauth for your account

In order to utilize an IMAP based email client, you must first activate IMAP access on your account in Zimbra Webmail.  This will also activate SMTPauth.  Here are the steps:

  1. Log into the Zimbra Webmail User Interface.

  2. Open the Preferences Tab.

  3. Click on the "Mail" option on the left sidebar.

  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.

  5. Click the checkbox to "Enable IMAP access".

  6. Click the "Save" button in the upper left corner.
  7. Continue with the set up of your IMAP/SMTPauth client.

It will take 5 minutes after making the change for SMTPauth to be available.
