Xiaohui Fan is an observational extragalactic astronomer with main interests in the studies of quasars, supermassive black holes, galaxy formation, cosmic reionization, and survey astronomy. At IAS, he will work on using new data from JWST to understand the formation and growth of the earliest supermassive black holes in the universe.
