Vera Vértesi is working on low-dimensional topology. In particular, she is interested in Legendrian and transverse knots, and knot invariants coming form the recently defined Heegaard Floer homologies. She is currently trying to give gluable, completely combinatorial description of a tangle invariant in Heegaard Floer homology.
