Umberto Leone Hryniewicz is interested in applications of methods from Morse theory and symplectic topology to the study of Hamiltonian systems. Examples of applications include existence of periodic orbits, global cross-sections, or homo/heteroclinic connections. He is also interested in studying sharp systolic inequalities via symplectic methods.
