Tom Braden plans to study three things at IAS: first, modular perverse sheaves on singularities with symplectic resolutions, including nilpotent cones and the affinization of Hilbert schemes of points in C^2; second, sheaves on the moment graph of the semi-infinite affine Grassmannian; third, perverse sheaves on the “Schubert varieties” of matroids.
