At IAS, Sharon Strocchia will be working on her book, "Health for Sale: Marketing Medicines in Late Renaissance Italy." Combining medical history, business history, and print culture, her project historicizes the development of public trust in pharmaceuticals by looking at patents, early clinical trials, and innovative marketing practices.
