History of Early Modern Optics
From
–
Thomas Harriot (1560–1621) was one of the great English polymaths and scientists of his time, and probably the greatest English mathematician before Newton. Robert Goulding’s research focuses on several hundred of Harriot\'s manuscript writings that have to do with optics, and seeks to put his optical work into the context of his other interests and the larger intellectual world that he inhabited.
