Qingyuan Jiang’s research area is the study of derived categories of algebraic varieties, which can be viewed as a noncommutative extension of the classical study of algebraic geometry. More concretely, he works on homological projective duality (HPD), categorification of projective geometry, CY categories, and the behaviour of derived categories under flops and flips.
