In an effort to gain a better understanding of America's soft power and foreign policy, this project focuses on America's multiple traditions and their engagements of multiple modernities in world politics. Both are more encompassing than the secularism of the discipline of international relations and the statism of studies of American foreign policy are ready to acknowledge.
