Mara Yue Du

Mara Yue Du is interested in the legal and political culture of late imperial and modern China (1600–present), Sino-foreign relations, Chinese communities overseas, and global circulation of social Darwinism. While at IAS, Du is completing a book manuscript tentatively titled “China: From a Nationless State to a Nation Defined by State.”
