Kriti Kapila is a social anthropologist specializing in the anthropology of the state and the law. She has written on property, dispossession, and sovereignty in India in relation to indigenous title, museum objects, and data ownership under biometrics (Aadhaar). At the IAS, she will be working on digital state-making in India.
