Dan Roberts works on the ways in which tools and perspectives from theoretical physics can be applied to AI. He is a co-author of The Principles of Deep Learning Theory (https://deeplearningtheory.com/). He previously worked on quantum gravity, quantum field theory, and quantum information theory: he studied the relationship between chaos and black holes.
