Christopher Athanasious Faraone’s interests are Ancient Greek poetry, religion, and magic. Recent works include the "Transformation of Greek Amulets in Roman Imperial Times," and "The Greco-Egyptian Magical Formularies." His project at IAS will be "Magical Recipes beyond Egypt: Scribes, Artisans and Sorcerers in the Wider Roman World."
