Angel Adams Parham

In her work, Angel Parham argues that theories of race in the United States need to better account for the ways local experiences are often shaped by past or present ties to transnational regions. Her project examines the impact of Louisiana’s historical ties to St. Dom­ingue/ Haiti on current understandings of race in Louisiana.
