Alfred Shapere is currently studying how quantum field theories encode information and, in particular, how error-correcting codes are embedded in toroidal conformal field theories. At IAS, he plans to extend this work to other CFTs and to explore corresponding bulk mechanisms. He also plans to continue studying time crystals and their applications.
