Laura Sanguineti White is studying the typology and narrative function of food in Boccaccio’s work in the context of the dietary habits and medical knowledge of medieval times. She is also working on the intellectual and human relationship between Petrarch and Boccaccio and the mutual influence on each other’s literary works through the analysis of letters and other sources.
