Horng-Tzer Yau works on dynamics of many-particle systems governed by quantum dynamics or stochastic dynamics, with a focus on deriving effective one-body nonlinear equations from such systems. Yau’s recent interests also include spectral statistics of random matrices with an emphasis on using stochastic method and Dyson’s Brownian motion.
