David Robinson is examining how successor states in Eurasia dealt with the legacy of the Mongol empire, particularly the Ming court of China in 1368 to1644. He plans to explore how the Ming court both vilified the fallen Mongol rulers and exploited the prestige of the mighty Mongol empire and its institutions.
