Yunqing Tang uses algebraicity criteria of formal schemes to investigate variants of the Grothendieck-Katz conjecture and the conjecture of Ogus on cycles in the de Rham cohomology of abelian varieties. The techniques involve transcendental methods and the theory of Frobenius tori in ℓ-adic and crystalline settings.
