Matthias Schwarz’s research at IAS deals with phenomena of symplectic rigidity in the context of Hamiltonian dynamical systems. He is studying questions about dynamical properties such as recurrence with methods from symplectic rigidity, such as Floer theory and pseudoholomorphic curves.
