I am working on an intellectual history of the eucharistic controversy from 1525-1549,focusing on the changing nature and content of the public debate as it spread outward from the centers of Wittenberg and Zurich, and looking at measures introduced to inculcate new understandings of the Lord's Supper among the laity and to counter views deemed heretical.
