Testing Gravity with cross-correlations between CMB Lensing and Large-Scale Structure
While models of dark energy can be tuned to match the observed late-time accelerated expansion of the universe, similar to a cosmological constant, they at the same time also change the relationship between the gravitational potentials. The E_G statistic tests for this by combining tracers of lensing and matter overdensity. The recently publically announced ACT DR6 CMB lensing map offers a new opportunity to revisit this popular statistic together with established SDSS data. Making this measurement requires careful consideration of a range of potential systematics.
