Richardson Dilworth Fellow in Historical Studies A specialist in the art and archaeology of the Mediterranean in the Bronze and Iron ages, Joanna Smith is researching interconnections among cultures from the Aegean to Mesopotamia. Her current book project outlines methods for an art history that seeks to define crosscultural influence, especially one that depends on archaeological sources of information.
