Sabine Schmidtke Receives 2019 Humboldt Research Award
Sabine Schmidtke, Professor in the School of Historical Studies, has been awarded a Humboldt Research Award for her academic achievements. The grant will support Schmidtke's project “Travelling Knowledge: Towards a Historical Bibliography of the Islamic World,” conducted in collaboration with Sebastian Günther, recent Member (2017–18) in the School of Historical Studies, who nominated Schmidtke for the honor.
Conferred by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, the research award recognizes the achievements of scholars whose fundamental discoveries, new theories, or insights have had a significant impact on their own discipline and who are expected to continue producing cutting-edge achievements in the future.
