Former Member Named 2016 MacArthur Fellow
Subhash Khot, Silver Professor of Computer Science at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University and former Member (2003–04) in the School of Mathematics, has been named a 2016 Fellow of the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation. The MacArthur Foundation recognizes exceptionally creative individuals with a track record of achievement and the potential for significant contributions in the future. Khot is honored for his work as a theoretical computer scientist whose work provides critical insight into unresolved problems in the field of computational complexity. Since 1981, 942 people have been named MacArthur Fellows.
