Drawing from Professor Emerita Joan Wallach Scott's Sex and Secularism (Princeton University Press, 2017) and Visitor Sara Farris's In the Name of Women’s Rights (Duke University Press, 2017), the Social Science Research Council's Sex, secularism, and “femonationalism” is a forum for conversations about sex, gender, religion, nationalism, secularism, neoliberalism, and the public sphere, featuring contributions from historians, anthropologists, literary scholars, sociologists, and scholars of religion.
