Anti-Semitism—Past and Present
On Wednesday, February 5, the IAS hosted a panel discussion on "Anti-Semitism—Past and Present." Part of the Impact of the Past series, the event featured an international panel of historians who examined the new surge of anti-Semitism in Europe and the United States.
Panelists included Deborah Lipstadt, Dorot Professor of Modern Jewish History and Holocaust Studies at Emory University; Julie Gottlieb, Professor in Modern History at the University of Sheffield; and Daniel Finkelstein, a member of the House of Lords and Associate Editor of The Times, London; and Karina Urbach, panel organizer and Visitor in the IAS School of Historical Studies. The event concluded with a question and answer session featuring the night's panelists.
