Columbia University Press has published Gender and the Politics of History: Thirtieth Anniversary Edition, by Joan Wallach Scott, Professor Emerita in the School of Social Science.
This anniversary edition includes a new preface in which Scott reflects on the book's legacy, its implications for contemporary politics, and what she has reconsidered in light of her engagement with psychoanalytic theory. This edition also includes a previously unpublished essay, “The Conundrum of Equality.”
