Confronting the Dark Energy Crisis in Fundamental Physics
ABSTRACT: The discovery of the accelerating expansion of the Universe poses a profound challenge to our understanding of fundamental physics. I will describe our group's ongoing efforts to determine the nature of the Dark Energy, including next-generation supernova cosmology with the PanSTARRS survey, lunar laser ranging, and initial results from mapping out the redshift distribution of galaxy clusters detected by the South Pole Telescope.
