11/16 Roundtable Discussion on Capitalism with Francesca Trivellato
Francesca Trivellato, Andrew W. Mellon Professor in the School of Historical Studies, will participate in a roundtable discussion on Saturday, November 16, with the editors of the new academic journal Capitalism: A Journal of History and Economics.
Offering a trans-disciplinary forum for the examination of the history of economic phenomena broadly conceived, the journal features original and peer-reviewed contributions by authors from across the humanities and social sciences on the historical dimensions of markets, capitalism, political economy, and economic thought. It is cofounded and edited by Trivellato; Julia Ott, Member in School of Social Science; Carolyn Biltoft of the Graduate Institute Geneva; and Marc Flandreau of the University of Pennsylvania.
The roundtable, which is part of a symposium on "The Poetics of Material Life," takes place Saturday, November 16, at 4:30 p.m. at Princeton University, Chancellor Green, Room 105.
