Viewing two sections of a large document at the same time

You are working on an extremely long Word document and you want to see two different sections of your file side-by-side. You can see two parts of a document at the same time by choosing Split from the Window menu in Microsoft Word then clicking a place on your document where you want the split bar to divide the document window. You can adjust the position of the split bar by dragging it into place. Separate vertical scroll bars in each view allows you to bring different portions of text into view. You can also set different view preferences for each pane (such as Normal view in the top pane and Outline view in the bottom, which may be selected from the View menu in Word). To restore the panes to a single window, just double-click on the split bar.
