Forwarding Email as an Attachment
With the proliferation of spam and phishing emails, you may need to be able to send a copy of an email in its original form. The instructions below explain how to do that for some of the most popular email clients used by ITG clients. These instructions will not work on all versions of the applications. If these instructions do not work, call your helpdesk for assistance.
- Locate the message you wish to forward, and either highlight it in the reading pane by clicking once or open it in its own window by double-clicking.
- In the ribbon controls at the top, locate the Home tab (called the Message tab if you’ve opened the email in its own window).
- Locate the Respond section in the ribbon, which is where options for Reply, Reply All, Forward, etc., should appear.
- Select the More dropdown option, and select the Forward as Attachment option.
- Enter addressees in the To:, Cc:, or Bcc: fields.
