30 Years On, Tiananmen Square Might Never Have Happened
In an article for the London Times, Didi Tang writes that China's censorship of the bloody events surrounding 1989's student revolution is total and successful. Her piece draws from a discussion with Rowena Xiaoqing He, Member in the School of Social Science, on the thirtieth anniversary of the Tiananmen Massacre. At IAS, He is currently working on a book about the roots and development of Chinese student nationalism in post-1989 China.
