Law and Social Science Film Series: Courthouse on the Horseback
Liu Jie's directorial film follows circuit court judge, Judge Feng, who travels to isolated rural areas in China to settle squabbles and conflicts. Filled with humor and charm, this film is the winner of the Horizons Award at the 2006 Venice Film Festival and is based on a true story written by Lifu Wang.
A post-screening discussion will be led by Teng Biao and Sida Liu, Visitor and Member, respectively, in the School of Social Science. This is the second film in the Law and Social Sciences series curated by the School of Social Science.
