Please join us for a Happy Hour with Member Ruth Britto from the School of Natural Sciences.
Ruth is a theoretical physicist studying fundamental interactions. She is best known for her work on scattering amplitudes, which are mathematical functions characterizing the production of elementary particles, for example in high-energy collider experiments designed for discovering and analyzing new particles and new physical behaviours.
While at the Institute, Ruth is studying Feynman integrals and scattering amplitudes in quantum field theory, focusing on mathematical properties leading to new approaches for computation.
Beginning at 5 p.m., drinks and food will be available for purchase. Please note that this is an adult-only event.
