Sarah Peluse

In the School of Mathematics, AMIAS Member Rachel Greenfeld and Veblen Research Instructor Sarah Peluse (2020–23), have proved that large sets of points with integer distances between them must lie almost entirely on a single line or circle. 

Past scholars in the Schools of Mathematics and Natural Sciences are among the recipients of the 2024 Sloan Research Fellowships, a landmark honor for early-career scholars. 

Current Veblen Research Instructor Sarah Peluse has been awarded the 2022 Dénes König Prize for the paper "Bounds For Sets With No Polynomial Progressions." The honor is presented to an early-career scholar for outstanding research in discrete mathematics. 

Winners of the 10th annual Breakthrough Prizes were announced today, including current Veblen Research Instructor Sarah Peluse (2022 Maryam Mirzakhani New Frontiers Prize) and past Members Takuro Mochizuki (2022 Breakthrough Prize in Mathematics) and Hong Wang (2022 MMNFP).
