The S-Matrix Marathon
March 11 - 22, 2024
Program Organizers:
Nima Arkani-Hamed, Institute for Advanced Study
Hofie Hannesdottir, Institute for Advanced Study
Sebastian Mizera, Institute for Advanced Study
Recent years have seen a resurgence of new ideas in the decades-old subject of the S-matrix theory. The time is ripe to bring together world experts to discuss future directions in the field. This two-week workshop will take a form of a lecture marathon with each day focusing on a given subject. It will feature a broad range of topics related to non-perturbative analyticity of the S-matrix, including dispersion relations, crossing symmetry, hadron spectroscopy, lattice field theory, cosmological and anti-de Sitter backgrounds, and the Schwinger-Keldysh formalism.
This workshop will be held in person only.
This workshop is sponsored by the Carl P. Feinberg Program in Cross-Disciplinary Innovation.
