Other Fellowships

IAS has hosted many NASA Hubble, Einstein, Sagan, and Spitzer Fellows, as well as NRAO Jansky Fellows.

NASA Hubble Fellowship Program (NHFP):
The NASA Hubble Fellowship Program (NHFP) allows outstanding postdoctoral scientists to pursue independent research in any area of NASA Astrophysics, using theory, observation, experimentation, or instrumental development at host institutions throughout the United States. Prior to the NASA Hubble Fellowship Program, the Einstein, Hubble, and Sagan Fellowships were run separately. 

The Spitzer Space Telescope Postdoctoral Fellowship Program (now a part of the Hubble Fellowship program) provided an opportunity for highly qualified recent postdoctoral scientists to conduct independent research with the goal of enhancing the overall scientific return from the Spitzer mission. This was accomplished through proposals to conduct new Spitzer observations, exploit the Spitzer archive, or through theoretical investigations.

The NRAO Jansky Fellowship Program provides outstanding postdoctoral opportunities for research in astronomy. Jansky Fellows formulate and carry out investigations either independently or in collaboration with others within the wide framework of interests of the Observatory.
