Princeton University PCTS Workshop
New Twists of Quantum Geometry
Organizers: Duncan Haldane, Alexander Kruchkov, Biao Lian, Shinsei Ryu, Pok Man Tam
This workshop aims to delve into the deep manifestations of quantum geometry within quantum phases of matter, its significance for physical observables, and the potential for direct experimental validation. We seek to bring together a diverse and multiskilled community, including both theorists and experimentalists, to discuss topics relevant to (but not limited to):
· quantum geometric effects in correlated systems, such as unconventional superconductors and fractional quantum Hall/Chern insulators;
· quantum geometric observables in topological flat band systems and twisted moiré materials;
· experimental probes for quantum geometry in solid-state and cold-atom platforms;
· quantum geometric effects beyond equilibrium physics;
· interplay between quantum geometry and other disciplines, such as quantum information science and mathematical physics.
