Vacua and Infrared Tails in de Sitter

Abstract: I will discuss a gauge invariant "memory" observable on cosmological horizons that controls the existence of (normalizable) de Sitter invariant vacuum states. While most of the discussion will concern free quantum field theories, I will pose some questions on generalizations to interacting QFTs and gravity.
