Towards a Parke-Taylor-like Formula for Water Waves

Abstract: Consider the interaction of one-dimensional surface gravity waves on top of an ideal fluid of infinite depth. Notably, for certain orientations of the wave vectors, the interaction matrix element vanishes, while for other orientations, the resulting expressions are remarkably compact. Although the diagrammatic technique is usually employed in these calculations, recent findings suggest that there may be more straightforward methods of deriving these results.
