John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK)
John F. Kennedy Airport is about four hours from Princeton, NJ when traveling by public transportation and about two hours by car, assuming no delays.
JFK Airport provides public ground transportation for service into NYC and other locations.
For convenience, we recommend taking the "NYC Airporter" service to New York Penn Station and then a New Jersey Transit train to Princeton Junction station.
NYC Airporter Service
The NYC Airporter runs service from JFK Airport to four locations in NYC: Grand Central Terminal, Penn Station, Port Authority Bus Terminal and Bryant Park for $19 one-way. Riders can pick up New Jersey Transit trains from Penn Station.
New Jersey Transit Trains
From New York's Penn Station, you can take a New Jersey Transit train to Princeton Junction station on the "Northeast Corridor" line.
From Princeton Junction station, you may take a taxi (at the cost of about $20 USD) or the New Jersey Transit shuttle train ("DINKY") from the Princeton Junction station to Princeton Station. The Institute is about a 20-minute walk from Princeton Station.
