Statement: I will be at work on Landscapes of St. Gregory: Topography and Sanctity in Medieval Italy, an interdisciplinary ecocritical study of art, architecture, and landscapes of Benedictine monasteries, VI–XII c., that positions landscape as protagonist in the construction of sanctity in the medieval Latin West.
