Topological Tools in Ten-Dimensional Physics

Abstract: By now we have become accustomed to the idea that topological notions play some role in quantum field theory. Yet the aspects of quantum field theory which require topological ideas are somewhat special. Many recent works have made it clear, on the other hand, that in ten dimensional physics the role of topology is likely to be far more central. (link to pdf)
