Princeton University PCTS Workshop

Black Hole Mimickers: From Theory to Observation

Organizers: Suvendu Giri (Perimeter Institute), Luis Lehner (Perimeter Institute), Nils Siemonsen (Princeton University), George Wong (Princeton University, IAS)

Free but required registration:

Please register for in person attendance only. The talks will be live streamed and recorded.

The aim of the workshop is to bring together the high energy physics, gravitational wave, and black hole imaging communities, who are working on different aspects of studying black hole mimickers. In particular, we hope to

  1. Introduce the communities to each other’s approaches to studying black hole mimickers
  2. Stimulate discussions across disciplines to bridge the gap between communities
  3. Connect theoretical developments with current and future observations
  4. Identify open problems and brainstorm a roadmap to tackle these questions

Registration is free, but required for in-person participation in the workshop. Live-streaming and recording of all talks will be freely available and require no registration.

A limited number of slots are available for flash talks, and we encourage graduate students to take advantage of this opportunity by submitting a title and abstract for consideration on the registration form no later than February 15.
