IAS Amplitudes Group Meeting
Dispersion Relations for Multi-Particle Scattering Amplitudes
The Institute for Advanced Study requires that all adult visitors, collaborators, conference and on-campus seminar attendees and outside vendors coming to the Institute are required to have completed a COVID-19 vaccination and booster in order to enter the IAS campus. Individuals must be prepared to present proof of vaccination if asked and are expected to follow the Institute's Covid-19 Procedures. Masks are optional while indoors.

Abstract: I will review some (few!) known facts about the analyticity properties of five- and six-particle scattering amplitudes. Using explicit results in high-energy (multi-)Regge kinematics, I will illustrate why some naive generalizations of four-particle crossing symmetry and dispersion relations cannot work. A candidate 1982 answer by Stapp and White will be discussed.
