Noether's Theorem in the Calculus of Variations and Hyperbolic Manifolds
I will remind the audience of Noether’s theorem in the calculus of variations and give a little of the history. An elementary application to integrals of Lagrangians defined on functions with domain a hyperbolic surface will be given, ending with a suggestion that it may be worth looking into similar results in dimension greater than 2.
