SL2 Seminar

Broue's Conjecture for $SL_2(\mathbb{F}_q)$ in defining characteristic, predicts a derived equivalence between the principal block of this group and the principal block of a Borel. A structurally similar equivalence exist in the case of the algebraic group representations. I will give an overview of this equivalence for the algebraic group $SL_2$ and I compare some basic similarities between this and the derived equivalences for $SL_2(\mathbb{F}_p)$ presented last week.
