High Energy Theory Seminar

Some Progress in 3d QFT

I will talk about computations of entanglement entropy and partition functions on curved manifolds in both supersymmetric and non-supersymmetric Lorentz-invariant QFT in 3 space-time dimensions. In the first part of this talk, I will focus on the F-theorem, which is the statement that the three-sphere free energy, or equivalently the entanglement entropy across a circle, decreases under RG flow. In the second part, I will talk about the anomalous dimensions of monopole operators in non-supersymmetric quantum electrodynamics.
